| SERVICES Qigong for Self Health Qi’ is literally translated as life force energy and ‘Gong’ as practice or skill. Qigong is several thousands of years old and is an accepted form of exercise and preventative medicine practiced in China today. Qigong for self-health is a powerful system of movement, coordinated with the breath, used to improve overall health. The exercises and routines practiced stimulate energy and blood flow, improve circulation and respiration, strengthen immune function, reduce stress, promote healthy coping mechanisms for stress, and encourage emotional balance. Qigong is an extremely effective preventative medicine. Kiai Jin Jitsu Founded by Dr. Song Park, Kiai Jin Jitsu is a healing practice which makes use of sound to alleviate physical and psycho-emotional imbalances. Sound is combined with physical movement and mental visualizations in order to balance the body and enhance awareness and presence. Physical movements such as meridian stretches, internal organ massage, figure 8, wave and circular patterns are utilized for unblocking, purging, tonifying, regulating, and channeling energy of the internal organs of the body. Physical movements are coordinated with breathing methods to enhance internal development and increase consciousness. Visualizations open up the psyche and create space to free the mind of limitations and body of tensions. Medical Qigong Therapy Medical qigong is the oldest of the four branches of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), with the other three being acupuncture, herbal medicine, and massage. The purpose of treatment with medical qigong is to release and purge strong toxic-energy flows that are literally trapped in the body's tissues. When we hold back our feelings we block our natural qi (chi/prana/energy) flow, which creates stagnant pools of toxic energy within our body. Unresolved emotions can interfere with the breathing process and affect the smooth flow of blood and qi, often leading to illness. For the healing process to work there can be no separation between body, mind, emotion and spirit. All must be in balance to maintain a healthy body. Medical Qigong exercises and techniques are prescribed like medicine, with the type and dosage tailored to the patient's specific needs. In Medical Qigong procedures the therapist trains the patient to focus attention equally on their physical, mental, emotional and spiritual functions. The effectiveness of Medical Qigong therapy is in its ability to strengthen and reinforce the body's immune system and essential qi, as well as regulate the body's yin and yang energy, adjust the visceral activities, clear the channels and collateral's and activate the body's Qi and Blood. Heart Centered Therapy (HCT) Using a pragmatic step-by-step protocol, HCT facilitates deep levels of healing and transformation. It is a gentle and direct approach to directly addressing the core of an issue. A trauma does not need to be relived to be healed. HCT techniques are used to safely release old patterns that are blocking one's progress, while in the process gaining newfound insight, wisdom and strength. Limited perspectives dissolve and one learns to discern the difference between information perceived from the mind that can intensify trauma, and the higher information received through the wisdom of the heart that raises truth and healing. This ability empowers the individual to claim their authenticity. |
